How to download Frame TV art (from Etsy or this site) and get it on your TV

Buying Frame TV art on Etsy is easy; getting the files from Etsy onto the TV trips up a surprising number of people, mostly because Etsy’s download lives in the browser rather than the app, and because the files arrive as a ZIP. Here is the whole path, on a computer, an iPhone and an Android phone.

Step 1: download from Etsy (use a browser)

1. Go to etsy.com in Safari, Chrome or any browser and sign in.
2. Click You → Purchases and reviews.
3. Find the order and click Download Files. Each file (or a ZIP) downloads to your Downloads folder.

If the button is missing: the Etsy app often does not show downloads – switch to the browser. If payment is still processing, wait a few minutes and refresh. Etsy also emails a download link for instant-download items.

Step 2: unzip

• Windows: right-click the ZIP → Extract All.
• Mac: double-click the ZIP.
• iPhone/iPad: open Files → Downloads, tap the ZIP; a folder with the JPEGs appears.
• Android: open Files by Google → Downloads, tap the ZIP → Extract.

You should now have JPEG files. Check one: it should be 3840 × 2160 pixels. If the listing delivered something smaller or in a 2:3 print ratio, it will not fill the Frame – see Frame TV art size and dimensions.

Step 3: get the files somewhere the TV can see them

Option A – your phone’s photo library (for SmartThings upload)

• iPhone: in Files, open a JPEG, tap Share → Save Image. Repeat, or select several and share them together. They appear in Photos.
• Android: extracted files in Downloads/Pictures usually show in Gallery automatically; if not, move them to the Pictures folder.

Option B – a USB stick (best for many files)

Copy the JPEGs to a FAT32 or exFAT USB stick from your computer and plug it into the Frame’s One Connect box.

Step 4: upload to the Frame TV

• SmartThings: app → Frame TV → Art Mode → Add your photos → select the images → choose a matte → Upload.
• USB: on the TV, Art Mode → My Collection → Photos → USB → select → Save to TV.

For non-Samsung TVs

The same JPEGs work on LG, Sony, TCL and Hisense TVs (USB or their gallery modes), Roku and Fire TV photo screensavers and Apple TV via Photos. Where each one hides the option is in art for any TV.
