About this Frame TV artwork

Diwali clay diyas surrounded by marigolds: a seasonal piece painted in a traditional style, without cartoon characters or lettering, so the Frame TV looks like it is showing a holiday painting rather than a card.

A minimalist ink treatment keeps the composition to essentials, with tonal washes standing in for detail and a lot of quiet space around the subject. The medium is minimal celebratory illustration.

It suits a living-room Frame TV above a sofa, where the wide composition can be seen from across the room. Leave the Frame's motion sensor on so the panel dims when the room is empty – it makes the difference between a painting and a screen.

Supplied as a 3840 × 2160 sRGB JPEG, it needs no resizing or cropping for the Samsung Frame, and displays correctly on LG, Sony, TCL and Hisense art-mode TVs too. This design is one of 1,000 in the bundle.
